Two-Factor Authentication

- Two-factor authentication helps protect your account against fraud by prompting you to enter a one-time PIN (OTP) each time you log in to myPay with your login ID and password.
- If you did not receive the PIN:
- If you selected an email address to receive your one-time PIN, first check your junk or spam folder. If you still can’t find the email, contact your email administrator or email service provider to find out about any delivery issues.
- If you selected a mobile number to receive your one-time PIN, make sure that you’re in a good service area. If the text message doesn’t arrive, contact your carrier about any delivery issues.
- You should also add dfas-smartdocs@mail.mil to your email safe senders list and add dfas-smartdocs@mail.mil to your mobile phone contacts.
- If you no longer have access to one or more of your methods, first try and use one of your other methods to log in. You can then make any needed updates in Personal Settings. If you no longer have access to any of your methods, please contact the Centralized Customer Support Unit at 1-888-DFAS411 or 1-888-332-7411, commercial 317-212-0550, or Defense Switching Network (DSN) 312-699-0550 (see FAQs for hours of operation).
- Select where you would like to receive a one-time PIN.
- You previously verified your preferred method can receive a one-time PIN.
Two-Factor Authentication
Enter your one-time PIN.
A one-time PIN was sent to you using the method you chose on the prior screen. Once received, please enter the PIN below then select Submit. If you need to request a new PIN, please click the Previous button below.
- Your PIN is on its way. Please keep this screen open until it is received.
- If you close this screen before you enter the code, you must start over at the login screen.

Create your Account Access
This feature is for customers who have not created a Login ID for account
access.
- To create a Login ID and profile you will need your Social Security Number and a temporary Password.
- Your initial temporary Password will automatically be generated after your pay has been established. For more information on when to expect your first Password, read about how new accounts are added..
- If 30 days have passed since you started receiving pay and you have not received your initial temporary Password, request one now.
